About Grand Heritage
From one-of-a-kind historic properties to world-class destination resorts, Grand Heritage specializes in individually distinctive, significant hotels that are –or can become- thriving, high-profile destinations in their communities. Grand Heritage was founded in 1989 by John W. Cullen to focus on historic properties that suffered from lack of branding and boutique management expertise. Since then, GH has built a proven track record of successful turnarounds for historical and one-of-a-kind properties and resorts.
Grand Heritage Hotel Group owns and operates over a dozen independent hotels and resorts across North America and Mexico and is currently developing numerous international properties – in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico and Bermuda – under its Grand Heritage Residence Club brand.
We're passionate in our belief that independent hotels possess a one-of-a-kind legacy that should be preserved, maintained, and allowed to flourish. Our de-centralized, non-traditional management and revitalization approach – which values local character and recognizes the individuality and nuance of each property – enables us to create significant operating and marketing efficiencies for each property.
An "owner-operator" philosophy dictates that each property and its management be allowed to grow and evolve into its own sustaining business. Management and employees are highly incentivized and subscribe to a heavily enforced set of core values emphasizing:
- Exceptional performance
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Individual accountability
- Passionate delivery or a unique guest experience
We understand that a systematic, cookie cutter approach is not the most effective way to bring a historic hotel back to life. Our de-centralized, non-traditional approach – which values local character and recognizes the individuality and nuance of each property – enables us to create significant operating and marketing efficiencies for each property.
Formula for Success
Over the years, Grand Heritage has rekindled the luster of several once faded gems, consistently reinvigorating sales and profits to above average levels. Its entrepreneurial style of management lends it the depth and flexibility needed to achieve significant marketing and operating efficiencies for its properties. Its distinctive owner-operator philosophy treats each hotel individually, providing resources and expertise customized to achieve sustainable growth based on the challenges and opportunities unique to each hotel.
